1. Who operates ChatShyld
ChatShyld is operated by TAKEMADE PTY LTD, 11 Paringa Blvd, Meadow Heights VIC 3048, Australia. Contact support@qxottic.com about these Terms, your account or a complaint. These Terms apply to the non-end-to-end-encrypted Firebase version of ChatShyld, not historical product descriptions.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter this agreement. Register with a phone number you are entitled to use and keep it current. Do not share verification codes, impersonate someone else or use another person's account without authority. Phone verification helps establish access to a number; it does not prove a person's identity or guarantee that another user is trustworthy.
Your account has a stable internal identifier. An optional username does not replace your phone-based sign-in. You may change or remove your username and independently turn username search off. Released names are reserved from reuse for 30 days. Turning search off does not erase earlier conversations, mentions or information already shared. Usernames are subject to availability, impersonation checks and reasonable anti-abuse restrictions.
3. The service
The Firebase version provides phone-based accounts, private and group conversations, photos, videos, documents, voice messages, calls and optional writing assistance when those features are enabled for your account and market. Features and availability can vary by platform, destination and service-provider support. Internet and carrier charges may apply. ChatShyld is not an emergency communications service; use your local emergency service directly.
4. Privacy and message handling
ChatShyld is not end-to-end encrypted. Message and media content is processed and stored by our service providers to deliver the service. Encryption in transit or at rest does not prevent authorised server-side access. We and authorised providers may access information where necessary for operation, security, responding to reports, support or legal obligations, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Do not use ChatShyld where you require end-to-end-confidential communications.
Phone numbers supplied for verification are sent to and stored by Google for verification and spam/abuse prevention. Read the Privacy Policy before requesting a verification code.
5. Your content and other people
You retain your rights in your content. You give us the limited permission needed to host, process, transmit and display it to provide the features you choose, manage abuse and meet legal obligations. You must have the right to share it and respect other people's privacy and intellectual-property rights. Recipients may save, forward, record or capture content. Deletion cannot recall their independent copies.
Do not use ChatShyld for scams, spam, unlawful surveillance, threats, harassment, child sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, illegal transactions, malicious software or infringement. Do not bypass access controls, automate abuse, harvest personal information or disrupt the service. Obtain any legally required consent before recording a call or sharing someone else's personal information.
6. Assist
Assist is optional. Review the material selected for sharing before generating a result. Only the input and message excerpts you select and review are processed by OpenAI through our backend. We do not automatically send your entire chat history. Avoid submitting secrets or sensitive personal information unless necessary and you have authority to do so. Generated results can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Check them before use, particularly for consequential decisions. Inserting a result creates a draft; you decide whether to send it. Assist is not professional advice.
7. Reporting, restrictions and review
Use the in-app reporting and blocking controls, or email support. Reports include only the evidence you explicitly select and review. We may investigate reports and limit, suspend or terminate access for material breaches, abuse, security concerns or legal requirements. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and let you request a review through support. We may need to act immediately to protect users or comply with law. Blocking a person does not necessarily remove shared-group content or copies already received.
8. Ending use and deletion
You may stop using ChatShyld and request account deletion. Clearing a device's cache, uninstalling the app or logging out does not delete your account. Use Settings → Account → Delete account, verify your registered number again, and confirm deletion. If you own a group, confirmation permits transfer to an eligible remaining administrator or member; a group without an eligible remaining member is closed. See the Account Deletion page for recovery retention and identity checks. Deletion includes server-held account information and authored content within the scope described there; limited records may remain where necessary and lawful. We will explain relevant exceptions when handling your request.
9. Availability and responsibility
We use reasonable care in providing ChatShyld, but cannot promise uninterrupted delivery, compatibility with every device, permanent storage or error-free third-party services. Take reasonable steps to protect important information. We are responsible to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. No blanket waiver of mandatory consumer rights applies.
10. Changes and disputes
We will identify the version of these Terms and give reasonable notice of material changes, except where urgent legal or security circumstances require otherwise. If fresh agreement is required, we will request it before continued use of the affected service. Contact support first to resolve a concern; this does not limit access to a regulator, court or other available remedy. Victorian law governs these Terms to the extent permitted, without depriving you of mandatory protections or forums available under the law where you live.
